Saturday, October 14th
In this class you will learn 3 stamping techniques and you will get the opportunity to use a die cutting machine to make an adorable gift card. The first stamping technique involves marking directly on the rubber using dye based markers. For the second technique you will stamp with dye based ink pads and color in with colored pencils and chalks. You will be using gold, black, and clear embossing powder for the third technique. You will melt the powders with a heat gun and color the image in with markers. I will also be teaching you how to watercolor using markers. The final technique involves the use of a die cutting machine. You will cut two dies and use the same machine to emboss cardstock using an embossing folder.
All supplies will be provided.
Birds and Flowers
In this class you will learn to make 3 different flowers using a variety of dies and punches in a unique way. You will learn how to color and sculpt the cabbage rose to match the beautiful Bo Bunny paper. The bird card involves coloring the bird and branch die with markers using the water coloring technique (or copic markers), learning how to color stickers to match your paper, and 'sparkling it up' to enhance the butterfly. You will learn when it is appropriate to use a glue stick and some neat tricks on how to use them without making a mess or wrinkling your paper.
These cards could be used for birthday, anniversary, thinking of you, sympathy, etc.
Supplies to bring to class: craft mat, sponge applicator, wet glue (I prefer the Designer Thick Tacky because it dries quickly), glue stick, 1/4th inch by 2 ml. foam squares, small scissors, and a wheat colored Versa Magic Dew Drop ink pad

So have you played with the Distress™ Oxides yet? Chances are 'No'. How are they different from 'regular' distress inks? What's all the huppala about? Well, I'm here to tell you they are fun, fun, fun. They are a PERFECT complement to the regular distress inks. But they are SO different and this is a perfect class to find out how.
They are perfect for backgrounds and embellishments, but on top of all that, you can stamp with them as well. They are 1/2 pigment, 1/2 dye ink. It will be fun to find out how many different ways you will be able to use Distress™ Oxide Inks.
For the three cards, I've also added some Memory Box™ dies and some Penny Black™ stamps to spice things up! Additionally, we'll use a Penny Black™ image for you to take home as well using only the Oxide inks giving you an impression that is totally unique. The oxide is somewhat cloudy and it doesn't look like any other ink you've used before.
Come and learn how to use the new inks. You will love playing with them.
Supplies to bring to Class: Craft Mat, Adhesive of Choice, and Trimmer.
